Update: Discount extended through Monday, September 21 at 12 noon!
The new school year is officially underway, and to help bring wildlife into the classroom, the Center is offering a special half-off discount on all Academic-year Caring for Critter sponsorships for a limited time.
These sponsorships make great educational tools for teachers and classrooms, giving students the opportunity to connect with one of the Center’s animal ambassadors throughout the school year. Teachers can incorporate the ambassador’s story into art, math, science, writing, and other classroom activities.
As part of the sponsorship, teachers receive a special Caring for Critters packet, including:
- A beautiful photo of the sponsored ambassador;
- The story of that ambassador—how they came to live at the Center;
- Detailed natural history of the ambassador’s species;
- A personalized certificate of adoption.
The class will also receive email updates on their sponsored animal, so they can follow along, learn more, and see what’s happening in the life of their animal ambassador!
Ready to gift an academic sponsorship to a classroom?
Sponsorships can be purchased as gifts for individual teachers or classrooms. To purchase one, visit the Center's online shop, select an ambassador under "Caring for Critters," and use the order comments to tell us who the sponsorship is for (e.g. Mrs. Smith's First-grade Class). Our team will take care of the rest!
Don't have a teacher in mind? We’ll be happy to match your sponsorship with a classroom! Just let us know in the order comments that you’d like us to find a classroom for you.
This special offer is available now through Monday, September 21 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern.
Whether you gift one sponsorship to a classroom or several, each one helps support students learning about wildlife, as well as care for injured animals in the Wildlife Center's hospital. Thank you!
