Two of the Wildlife Center's “bear moms,” Mac Stewart and Alejandra Olvera, recently spoke to WMRA Public Radio about their experience raising orphaned bear cubs. As human surrogates, the bear moms raise a new group of cubs every year, caring for them until they can be released back into the wild the following spring.
