In celebration of National Bald Eagle Day, the Center is hosting a special live webinar!
Join us on Thursday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m. Eastern for an engaging discussion with Pulitzer Prize–winning author Jack E. Davis and American Eagle Collection founder Preston Cook as they explore the fascinating story of the Bald Eagle.
During this hour-long webinar, held on the eve of Bald Eagle Day [June 20], Jack and Preston will delve into the eagle’s long, complex history — from early American symbolism through endangered species status to its official designation as our National Bird in 2024. Along the way, our guest experts will share rare artifacts, compelling stories, and historical insights that shed new light on the iconic bird you thought you knew.
This webinar will be held via Zoom. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Please RSVP by filling out this webform. Once registered, you will receive the Zoom link.
During the webinar, donations will be gratefully accepted to support the Center’s work. Consider giving:
- $6.20 in honor of National Eagle Day,
- $12.24 to commemorate the eagle’s official designation as our National Bird, or
- A Caring for Critters sponsorship of Buddy, our resident Bald Eagle
This event will include a live Q&A, with questions welcome throughout and a dedicated session at the end.
We hope you can join us for this special celebration of our National Bird!
