Registration for this year's Call of the Wild conference is now open. The 29th annual conference will take place on November 15-17, 2024.
This year's conference is hybrid, with both in-person and online opportunities. The two online days, Friday, November 15, and Sunday, November 17, include lectures, panel discussions, and Q&As with wildlife experts worldwide. Participants can attend live or watch recorded presentations after they take place; recordings are available to conference attendees through December 31, 2024. Each day is worth 12 hours of continuing education credits; topics include cottontail rehabilitation, aquatic turtle husbandry, triage, euthanasia, communications, laser therapy, volunteer management, and much more.
In-person workshops and seminars occur on Saturday, November 16 at the Best Western in Waynesboro, Virginia. There are five workshops to choose from (three which take place concurrently – so choose carefully when signing up!), including:
- Introduction to Microscopy: Practical Applications for Wildlife Rehabilitation (9:00 am - 12:00 noon)
- Perfecting your Physical Exam Workshop (9:00 am - 12:00 noon)
- Strategic Philanthropy: Developing Effective Plans, Metrics, and Grants Management Seminar (9:00 am - 12:00 noon)
- Imping 101 Workshop (1:30 pm - 4:30 pm)
- Fluid Therapy and Bandaging Workshop (1:30 pm - 4:30 pm)
