'Twas the Night Before Treatment, and All Through the Center ...

This year for the holidays, staff at the Wildlife Center of Virginia have created a festive video e-card with an imaginative re-telling of Clement Moore’s holiday classic, A Visit from St. Nicholas.

The Center has put its own “wild” spin on the beloved tale; while no reindeer appear in the video, viewers will recognize seven education ambassador animals from the Center, including Buddy the Bald Eagle, Marigold the Virginia Opossum, Sheldon the Woodland Box Turtle, and more.

“As the official first day of winter has come and gone, the admission rate for patients at the Wildlife Center of Virginia has started to slow,” says Alex Wehrung, Public Affairs Manager for Education and Outreach. “We’re still admitting and treating patients, but the slower pace gives our staff the chance to step back and reflect on the year’s end. As a non-profit, the Center relies on donations from the public to make a difference in the world of wildlife conservation – sharing this video greeting card with our supporters is just one of the ways we can say ’thank you' for the generosity they’ve shown throughout the year, and during this holiday season, especially.”
