On the weekend of June 4-5, 2016, the Wildlife Center held a summer fundraiser, dubbed “Clarkfest”, in honor of president and co-founder Ed Clark’s 65th birthday.
On Saturday, more than 100 people gathered at Barren Ridge Vineyards for a special “Trop Rock” birthday bash, with music by Latitude, featuring Tom Becker, former member of the legendary folk-rock group The New Christy Minstrels, and his wife Michelle Becker, seven-time Trop Rock Music Awards National Female Vocalist of the Year.

On Sunday, the Wildlife Center organized a special concert at the newly renovated Wayne Theater in Waynesboro. Back Home Again – a Tribute to John Denver featured Tom Becker and the acclaimed Waynesboro Symphony. John Denver’s music inspired and influenced Ed Clark’s career in conservation.
