After one month of rehabilitation, Bald Eagle #25-3383 is ready to return to the wild—and you can join us for the release!

Bald Eagle #25-3383 was admitted on August 25 after being found grounded in Charles City, Virginia. Although a physical exam did not reveal any injuries, bloodwork showed that the eagle had subclinical lead toxicosis, a significant issue for Bald Eagles. The Center's veterinary team performed chelation therapy to remove the lead and daily flight exercises to help the bird rebuild his strength. More information on the eagle's story and treatment will be shared during a presentation at the release.

The release is free and open to the public, and will take place on Friday, October 3, at 1:00 p.m. at York River State Park. Attendees are asked to RSVP with their name and the number of people in their party through this webform.

Directions: Use the address 9801 York River Park Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188 for GPS navigation. The release will take place in the field next to the visitor center.

We hope to see you there!
