After six weeks of treatment and care, Bald Eagle #25-0150 is ready to return to the wild!
This eagle will be released at Belle Isle State Park on Thursday, March 13, at 2:00 P.M. Wildlife Center staff will do a presentation on the Center’s life-saving work with Bald Eagles before opening the crate to release the eagle back to the wild.
Join us to watch the bird return home! The release is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to RSVP with the name and number of people in their party through this webform.
The release will take place rain or shine, unless thunderstorms with lightning threaten visitor safety.
Directions: enter 1632 Belle Isle Rd., Lancaster, VA 22503 into your GPS to navigate to the park. The release will be hosted at the Visitor Center, and signs will be posted to help direct you. Restrooms will be available.
