Last year, Dr. Tara Miller, a researcher at Boston University, used data from the Center’s patient information system — WILD-ONe — to perform the largest study to date of patients admitted at wildlife rehabilitation centers. Though not surprising, the results speak volumes: of the more than 600,000 patients included in the study, about 40% were injured due to human activity — including vehicle collisions, lead poisoning, fishing line injuries, and more.

Join us on May 21 for an online discussion with Dr. Tara to learn more about this study, its findings, and how it can be used by wildlife agencies and other organizations to identify solutions and protect wildlife from harm.
