Call of the Wild Speaker Submission Form 2026

Thanks for applying to speak at the Call of the Wild conference this year. Please note that we are seeking applications for online presentation on Friday, November 20 and Sunday, November 22. We're excited to provide our wildlife professional community with continued education and new resources!

Presentation Submission

We're looking for a variety of online presentation formats, including pre-recorded lectures, live presentations, and interactive panel discussions.

Pre-recorded lectures:

What it is: Speakers record their lectures in advance (using Zoom, PowerPoint, Canva, etc.) and submit the final file by November 1. During the speaker's conference time slot, the recording will be broadcast, and the speaker will participate in a live Q&A—either via Zoom webinar or by responding to audience questions on the Whova platform.

Ideal for:

  • Presenters without strong internet access on the day of the event
  • Speakers who require more flexible scheduling, or who might not even be available live on conference weekend!
  • Topics that don’t require live interaction

Live presentations:

What it is: Speakers present their session live via Zoom at a scheduled time on November 20 or November 22.

Ideal for:

  • Speakers who thrive on real-time interaction
  • Speakers with reliable internet connection
  • Demonstrations or dynamic delivery

Live Panel Discussions:

What it is: Panels include two or more speakers and focus on interactive discussions and audience participation around a shared topic. These are conducted live via Zoom and typically include open Q&A.

Ideal for:

  • Topics with multiple perspectives
  • Collaborative or debate-style formats
  • Conversation-driven presentations

Presenter Guidelines & Selection Notes

We prioritize fresh, original content—ideally presentations that have not been offered at other conferences, especially online. While some overlap is understandable, we’re particularly interested in new material or unique approaches that will excite this year’s audience.

Audience engagement is strongly encouraged for all presentation formats. Whether your session is pre-recorded, live, or part of a panel, we ask all presenters to consider ways to connect with attendees—through Q&A, discussion prompts, case examples, or other interactive elements. Our goal is to keep sessions dynamic, practical, and engaging for our diverse online audience.

When submitting your abstract, please indicate your preferred format (pre-recorded, live, or panel) and give us a sense of your vision for the session. Once selections are made, we’ll provide detailed technical instructions and support.
