A classroom visit provides an in-depth focus on one animal, in a small group setting. Visit includes touchable items and a live animal. Stories, PowerPoint presentations, or other learning tools may be utilized based on age.

*For schools more than 15 miles away from the Wildlife Center, a combination with an assembly program [scheduled for the same day], is required.

Easily recognizable and typically docile, the Eastern Box Turtles are a beloved turtle here in Virginia. Learn about the many interesting adaptations of turtles. During this classroom visit, students will meet a live Eastern Box Turtle and have the opportunity to examine turtle-related items.
